Audio Seasonal Tour Team

About the role

The Audio Team Member is responsible for the flow and energy of the show. This position involves setting up audio equipment and some lighting software, playing each entry's music as determined by the Backstage Team, playing music from company-provided equipment in-between dance entries, running a smooth awards ceremony, announcing entries on a microphone with an enthusiastic and confident tone when needed, toggling between lighting cues for when a dance performs, in-between dances, and for award ceremonies. The Audio Team Member must also communicate missing music with on-site directors, problem solve with creative solutions to accommodate each venue, ensure the overall music is smooth & consistent with levels, and make sure any Team Member on the mic is clearly heard at all times. Additionally, they are responsible for breaking down audio equipment and some lighting software.

Responsibilities

• Set up audio equipment and some lighting software.
• Play each entry's music as determined by the Backstage Team.
• Play music from the company provided equipment in-between dance entries.
• Run a smooth awards ceremony.
• Announce entries on a microphone with an enthusiastic and confident tone when needed.
• Toggle between lighting cues for when a dance performs, in-between dances, and for award ceremonies.
• Communicate missing music with on-site directors.
• Problem solve with creative solutions to accommodate each venue.
• Ensure the overall music is smooth & consistent with levels, and any Team Member on the mic is clearly heard at all times.
• Break down audio equipment and some lighting software.

Requirements

• Candidates must be available to work weekends.
• Travel from January–June.
• Base pay: $20.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work long event days (8–16 hours).
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs (event equipment, merchandise bins, staging materials).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working in loud, dynamic and fast-paced environments.
• Flexibility and adaptability in responding to shifting event needs.

Skills

• Basic knowledge & understanding of signal flow, mixing & troubleshooting.
