Audio Editor/ Producer (radio + podcast)

Position Details

• Location: Remote
• Duration: 4-Months
• Start Date: ASAP (must be available to start no later than August 3)
• Hours: Approximately 3 hours per show per week (working Monday and Tuesday), plus 5-8 hours of onboarding during the first week
• Schedule: Weekly recordings provided around 12:15 PM CT each Monday, final edited episode due by 5:00 PM CT each Tuesday

Responsibilities

• Edit recorded audio segments to ensure clarity, pacing, flow, and appropriate length
• Apply strong editorial judgment to determine content selection and segment structure
• Enhance audio quality by removing background noise, clicks, pops, volume inconsistencies, and other imperfections
• Assemble complete episodes using provided intros, outros, music beds, and show elements
• Deliver professional-quality audio content that meets radio and podcast production standards
• Manage weekly production deadlines and maintain consistent communication with stakeholders
• Proactively identify potential production challenges and recommend solutions

Requirements

• Professional experience as an Audio Producer, Podcast Producer, Radio Producer, or in a similar audio production role
• Advanced proficiency with Audio Editing in Adobe Audition
• Demonstrated expertise in audio editing, mixing, and post-production techniques
• Experience producing finished audio programs from raw recordings
• Strong editorial instincts and the ability to make content and storytelling decisions independently
• Experience working within deadline-driven production environments
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Prior radio show production experience required
