About the role
The Audio Department Head is responsible for overseeing all audio production and post-production activities within the company.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire audio production process from recording to final mix
- Manage a team of audio engineers and technicians
- Ensure high-quality audio output across all projects
- Collaborate with directors and producers to implement creative audio solutions
- Develop and maintain audio standards and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional audio production experience
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Experience with audio editing software such as Pro Tools, Logic, or Avid
- Strong understanding of sound engineering principles and acoustics
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for audio and music production
- Knowledge of audio equipment and technologies
Skills
- Proficient in audio editing and mixing software
- Understanding of audio file formats and codecs
- Knowledge of audio compression and equalization techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot audio issues and resolve problems efficiently
