Audio 1 Operator

Production Operations at Televisa Univision is looking for an Audio 1 Operator to join our team! Responsible for proficiency in mixing high quality audio for live or live to tape television programming. YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities) Operational knowledge of Digital and Analog audio consoles and peripheral equipment including patch bays and routersSetting up, checking and ensuring that all microphones, audio and media playback are adjusted for proper VU levels and equalization IFB mix minus, Telos Systems, COMREX and CleanfeedDesign and load in of all Studio and Exterior PA equipmentCoordination of all RF/Wireless equipment (i.e. microphones, IFB and PL) as well as studio foldback with Audio Assistant (A-2) or Floor ManagerProvide immediate solutions in the event of equipment or other audio problems YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications) Bachelor’s Degree in television production or equivalent work experienceBasic computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems3-5 years of experience in control room broadcast facility4+ years of audio experience in a live television environment Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technologyStudio and Remote production experience Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcastsAs this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must, in addition to being able to work regular hours, have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice. Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during tropical storm/hurricane.
