Responsibilities
- Support senior social media strategy lead in writing and developing social media content aligned with organizational goals.
- Use insights from audience behavior, campaign performance, and industry trends to guide planning and production.
- Stay up-to-date on changes across our platforms, including shifts in algorithms, continuously adjusting our content and planning, making recommendations as needed.
- Track our results and conduct research to understand audience engagement, including media and influencer mapping.
- Create and manage social media paid ads and collaborations and assist in monitoring and reporting results.
- Provide outreach support to two communications program liaisons by preparing and maintaining public relations materials including lists of media, influencers, and relevant contacts.
- Identify and connect with new audiences through various channels, such as sharing content and initiatives with media, scholars, decision makers, and influencers.
- Conduct routine monitoring and reporting of news coverage about the foundation and executive staff; provide alerts when warranted.
- Compile data and analyze social media and publicity outcomes as needed.
Qualifications
- At least two years working in a communications/marketing or journalism role, preferably for an agency, in-house team, or news organization.
- College degree required, preferably with a major that connects to our work: marketing and communications, and/or journalism, international relations, and education.
- Experience in MS Office, social media platforms, and PR databases such as Cision; proficient with workflow and communications apps, including Wrike and Slack.
- Experience in AI-assisted research, applications, and ethical considerations.

Pay
$74,000 - $80,000
Schedule
Typically hired at the midpoint of the salary range based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
