About the role

As a Service Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and organization of our dealership’s vehicle inventory and lot. This role involves various responsibilities, including vehicle maintenance, lot management, and assisting customers.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and maintain the appearance of new and used vehicle inventory.
• Clean both the interior and exterior of vehicles.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as replenishing fluids, replacing batteries, and refilling tires.
• Affix buyer guides and stock tags to vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of which vehicles have been cleaned and when.
• Organize and maintain the vehicle lot’s appearance, ensuring it is free from trash and debris.
• Move vehicles according to dealership standards and instructions.
• Remove debris from display areas and perform minor inspections for damage.
• Manage vehicle key tags and ensure vehicles are clean, presentable, and properly displayed.
• Verify that new vehicles display factory and addendum stickers and selling prices.
• Replace sold vehicles and empty spaces with new inventory, prioritizing the most marketable vehicles.
• Report any issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a car porter or in a similar role.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Basic knowledge of car maintenance is advantageous.
• Strong sense of responsibility for customer and dealership property.
• Willingness to learn and perform various tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Minimum of two years holding a valid driver's license.
