About the role

The Coweta County Solicitor-General’s Office is looking for Attorneys to join our team. The duties of the position include the following but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Prosecutes misdemeanor violations in the Coweta County State Court.
• Investigates and prepares cases for trial.
• Represents the State in all stages of court proceedings.
• Performs additional tasks relating to the function of the department as assigned by the Solicitor-General.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.
• Capable of effectively multi-tasking and working well in a team environment.
• Possess a positive attitude and a strong sense of personal and community responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Courtroom experience preferred but not required.

Applicants selected for hire will be subject to fingerprinting, a criminal history background check, a motor vehicle driver’s history check and pre-employment drug screening; employment is contingent upon the completion and satisfactory results of each investigation.
