Attorney Support Specialist – Utility Player

About the Role
This role is an integral part of Latham’s Attorney Support team, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm’s lawyers by providing comprehensive administrative support in a global team environment using a real-time work ticketing system (ServiceNow). The position is available in our Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, or Houston office.
Schedule
Regular work schedule options:
- Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. EST
- Monday–Friday, 11:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. PST
During the first 2–3 months of training, one day per week in the office will be required, with a start time of 9:00 a.m. EST or 8:30 a.m. PST, depending on location. Following training, the role transitions to fully remote with occasional in-office attendance as needed.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing lawyer time entry, generating and editing client invoices, submitting expense reimbursement, calendaring and scheduling, managing and editing documents, and making travel arrangements
- Proactively learning internal systems and processes to find innovative solutions to problems and requests
- Working autonomously and proactively to pick up tasks across the Attorney Support function, often handling large, time-consuming, and tedious tasks that may span days and time zones
- Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers
- Protecting and maintaining highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information
Requirements
- Demonstrate professional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, vendors, and staff
- Display initiative to work both independently and in a team environment with a customer service focus
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to continuously evolving technology platforms
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a legal or professional services environment

Pay
USD $70,000.00 – USD $100,000.00 per year, with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
