Description About the Position Warner Norcross + Judd is seeking a Attorney Recruiting and Integration Coordinator to join our talent development team based out of Detroit or Grand Rapids. The Attorney Recruiting and Integration Coordinator coordinates the firm’s summer associate recruiting program and pipeline recruiting initiatives, provides support for the lateral attorney recruiting function, and oversees the attorney integration process, and provides general support for the attorney recruiting function. Responsibilities About the Opportunity Summer Associate Program Develop and implement pipeline recruiting initiatives to build and maintain relationships with prospective candidates, including law schools, student organizations, and early identification programs, to support long term entry level hiring needs. Collaborate with the Director of Attorney Recruiting and Chair of the Summer Associate Committee on a strategy for summer associate recruiting. Coordinate all aspects of the firm’s Summer Associate Program, including recruiting coordination, onboarding, work assignment systems, and program logistics across offices. Partner with the Director of Attorney Recruiting and the Chair of the Summer Associate Committee on the design and execution of a structured summer experience that balances meaningful legal work, training, mentorship, and social engagement. Ensure equitable work allocation and high-quality assignments for summer associates through the summer associate Job Jar system. Oversee the summer associate performance evaluation processes, including feedback collection, calibration, and offer decision support. Serve as a point of contact for summer associates, fostering engagement and addressing questions or concerns throughout the program. Coordinate the end of the summer hiring process, including offer decisions, with an emphasis on transitioning summer associates into first year associates. Serve as the primary contact and coordinate the transition from summer associate to first year associate, including coordination of bar preparation support, bar exam logistics, relocation, and onboarding readiness. Lateral Attorney Recruiting Partner with the Director of Attorney Recruiting to coordinate the firm’s lateral attorney recruiting efforts and execute recruiting strategies and initiatives. Facilitate key aspects of the lateral candidate process, including interview coordination, candidate communications, evaluation processes, and hiring-related logistics, to ensure a consistent and high-quality candidate experience. Coordinate the transition of lateral candidates from recruiting through pre-boarding and integration, partnering with relevant firm stakeholders to ensure continuity throughout the hiring process. Collaborate with the Director of Attorney Recruiting on lateral recruiting projects, candidate outreach initiatives, process improvements, and other strategic recruiting priorities. Attorney Integration Identify attorney integration gaps across departments/practice groups, offices, and roles. Complete and/or assign onboarding and integration tasks based on a new attorney’s department/practice group, office, and role. Ensure follow through with assigned attorney integration tasks, including short and long term plans. Assist Practice Group Chairs and Practice Managers with early-stage engagement of new attorneys. Generate and analyze regular reports on recruitment and retention metrics, performance trends, and integration outcomes for timekeepers to measure outcomes and drive continuous improvement; provide regular reports to Human Resources, Talent Development, and Practice Managers. Stay informed about trends in onboarding, integration, and retention to recommend and implement process enhancements. Ensure talent acquisition, onboarding, and integration practices reflect the firm’s commitment to inclusion and comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and firm policies. Maintain organized, accessible records. Support other recruiting projects and initiatives as needed. The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. These include being both mobile and stationary throughout the workday, having the ability to transport 25 pounds and being able to operate a computer and other business equipment found in the office. Time management. Decision making. Flexibility. Teamwork orientation. About You Experience, Education and Training Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 2+ years of experience in law firm recruiting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to design and implement programs that drive measurable outcomes. Strong technology skills.
