Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through settlement or trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
- Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- Evaluate liability, damages, and case strategy
- Communicate regularly with clients and provide case updates
- Negotiate with insurance carriers and defense counsel
- Work collaboratively with support staff and attorneys to move cases efficiently
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active Illinois Bar license and in good standing
- Experience handling plaintiff-side personal injury matters preferred
- Ability to manage files independently and prioritize deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Client-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
