Attorney - Oil & Gas

About the role

We represent oil & gas clients throughout Texas and beyond. The firm offers remote work and flexible billable hours and is immediately hiring an accomplished Attorney with experience drafting title opinions.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of oil and gas matters, including exploration, production, transportation, and sales.
• Draft title opinions highlighting defects, liens, or other issues that could impact ownership or use of the property.
• Analyze documents such as leases, contracts, and deeds.
• Advise on compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation and arbitration.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify legal risks and develop risk management strategies.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in oil and gas law and industry trends.
• Provide training to other departments on relevant legal issues.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Texas.
• 3+ years of experience drafting title opinions covering lands in Texas.

$150,000 - $210,000 per year
