Job Summary

Stange Law Firm, PC has immediate openings for motivated, dynamic attorneys to join our team in either our Topeka, Kansas office or our Wichita, Kansas office. These positions offer meaningful courtroom exposure and hands-on responsibility.

About the Role

Join us in helping families navigate legal issues involving divorce, child custody, child support, paternity, guardianship, estate planning, and other family law matters. We welcome applications from attorneys with litigation experience in other practice areas who are looking to build a rewarding career in family law.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cases, advocate for clients in court, conduct hearings and trials, negotiate settlements, and help families navigate difficult legal issues
  • Draft pleadings, motions, judgments, orders, and legal correspondence
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trial
  • Attend court appearances, mediations, hearings, and trials
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients
  • Maintain organized and accurate case files
  • Ensure all work product is completed accurately and timely

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) required
  • Licensed to practice law in Kansas
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage cases effectively and professionally
  • Familiarity with family law matters preferred, but not required
