About the Role
Stange Law Firm, PC is seeking a motivated, dynamic attorney to join our team in Topeka, Kansas. This position offers meaningful courtroom exposure and hands-on responsibility, regardless of prior experience in family law.
Responsibilities
- Manage cases, advocate for clients in court, conduct hearings and trials, negotiate settlements, and help families navigate family law matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, judgments, orders, and legal correspondence
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trial
- Attend court appearances, mediations, hearings, and trials
- Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients
- Maintain organized and accurate case files
- Ensure all work product is completed accurately and timely
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) required
- Licensed to practice law in Kansas
- Strong communication and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage cases effectively and professionally
- Familiarity with family law matters preferred, but not required
