About the Role

Stange Law Firm, PC is seeking a motivated, dynamic attorney to join our team in Topeka, Kansas. This position offers meaningful courtroom exposure and hands-on responsibility, regardless of prior experience in family law.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cases, advocate for clients in court, conduct hearings and trials, negotiate settlements, and help families navigate family law matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, judgments, orders, and legal correspondence
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trial
  • Attend court appearances, mediations, hearings, and trials
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients
  • Maintain organized and accurate case files
  • Ensure all work product is completed accurately and timely

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) required
  • Licensed to practice law in Kansas
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage cases effectively and professionally
  • Familiarity with family law matters preferred, but not required
