In the role of Junior Transactional Attorney, you will work with numerous SEI business teams and other members of the Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Corporate Development Department to structure, draft, negotiate, and manage the execution of commercial contracts on behalf of the SEI group of companies.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and advise stakeholders on commercial contracts using SEI templates and standards.
  • Educate internal clients on positions and issues arising during contractual negotiations.
  • Collaborate with internal clients to solve legal, risk, and business issues in commercial transactions.
  • Understand and apply regulatory changes to new and existing contracts.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
  • Participate in activities related to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and third-party risk management.
  • Populate and maintain contract files and repositories.
  • Work closely with internal product and operations teams, vendor owners, new business development teams, client relationship teams, and executives to support their efforts while ensuring adherence to applicable standards and procedures.
  • Represent SEI’s interests in direct dealings with third parties.

Requirements

  • Experience in transactional/corporate matters.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and business needs.
  • Comfort with a dynamic, often-changing environment.

  • Strong multi-tasking capability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Authorization to practice law in one or more jurisdictions within the United States.
  • Willingness to travel, if necessary.
