Attorney Foreclosure Prevention

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients facing foreclosure proceedings
• Advocate for clients in negotiations with lenders, mortgage servicers, and courts
• Assist clients in exploring foreclosure-prevention options, such as loan modifications, refinancing, or government programs
• Prepare and file legal documents related to foreclosure cases
• Educate clients about their legal rights and available resources
• Collaborate with community organizations and agencies to support clients' housing stability
• Stay informed about changes in foreclosure laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines
• Commitment to serving low-income or vulnerable populations
• Demonstrated professionalism and ethical standards
• Ability to appear in person at Nassau Supreme Court
