About the role

The Estate Planning team is part of the Wealth Solutions group, a dynamic environment of professionals dedicated to providing and implementing planning strategies for high-net-worth clients. Candidates in Atlanta, New York City, Chicago, or Dallas are strongly preferred, as this role may require in-office presence 1-2 days per month.

Responsibilities

  • Independently meet with wealth advisors, financial planners, and other Wealth Solutions group members to review, fund, and maintain estate plans.
  • Review and summarize existing estate planning documents, making recommendations for changes based on legal updates and family circumstances.
  • Answer general estate planning questions from clients and advisor teams.
  • Serve as an in-house estate planning resource for wealth management teams nationwide.
  • Stay current with estate, trust, and tax legislation across the U.S.
  • Support business development through presentations and thought leadership publications, as needed.
  • Manage a service specialist, overseeing day-to-day tasks, training, calendars, time management, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD).
  • Licensed to practice law in at least one state.
  • Ability to interpret and convey complex estate planning topics to teams and clients.
  • 2-6 years of legal experience in estate planning preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Schedule

This role requires availability during standard business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Occasional early or late hours may be needed to meet business deadlines for external and internal client needs. Non-exempt roles must record working time daily, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch period.

Working Conditions

This position may be based in a professional office or a dedicated home office free of interruptions. Basic technology will be provided. Routine sitting and standing are required; no heavy lifting over 10 lbs.

Pay

Actual base pay within this range will be based on geographic location, experience, education, skills, and licenses/certifications. This position is also eligible for incentive compensation.

Base Pay Range: $90,000 - $130,000 USD
