Attorney

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of motor vehicle accident matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and conferences.
• Collaborate with clients, medical providers, experts, and insurance carriers.
• Review medical records, police reports, and other case-related documentation.
• Develop litigation strategies and prepare cases for trial when necessary.
• Maintain accurate case files and meet all court deadlines.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience handling motor vehicle accident litigation.
• Strong knowledge of New York civil litigation procedures.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with a legal team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with plaintiff or defense motor vehicle litigation.
• Trial preparation and deposition experience.
• Familiarity with case management software.

Pay

Competitive salary: $110,000 - $185,000, commensurate with experience.
