Attorney

Primary Responsibilities

• Support workers’ compensation and premises liability claims management.
• Lead external and internal resources in support of the defense of workers’ compensation matters and premises liability actions in tort.
• Research, review, and apply applicable statutes, regulations, and case law to a variety of legal matters.
• Develop knowledge in various legal principles, including but not limited to contract, tort, property, labor and employment, consumer and commercial law.
• Apply developing complex factual scenarios to existing law.
• Responsible for contract drafting and review.
• Prosecute and defend legal cases, including debt collection, on the company’s behalf as assigned.

Skills/Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Basic Research and Writing skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and produce quality work
• Must be reliable, cooperative, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Active state license to practice law in at least ONE state where Menards conducts business operations
• Must be able to relocate to Eau Claire, WI
