About the Role

Responsibilities
- Prepare legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and other legal instruments.
- Review documents drafted by other parties to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and motions. Present arguments, examine and cross-examine witnesses, and advocate for clients' interests.
- Conduct thorough legal research on statutes, regulations, case law, and legal opinions to support arguments and provide accurate advice.
- Meet and communicate with clients to understand their legal needs, discuss case strategies, and provide updates on legal proceedings.
- Negotiate on behalf of clients to reach favorable settlements in legal disputes.
- Uphold high ethical standards, maintain client confidentiality, avoid conflicts of interest, and act in the best interests of clients.
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents through continuing legal education.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with word processing software.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, diagram, or schedule).
