About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) seeks an Attorney Advisor (GS-0905-13) to support the US Air Force Warfare Center (USAFWC) at Nellis AFB, NV. The role provides legal advice and counsel on complex administrative, claims, environmental, contract, labor, and international law matters.
Responsibilities
- Advise the USAFWC/JA Commander and other commanders on legal matters.
- Evaluate local policies and practices for legal compliance.
- Manage and represent DAF/installation interests in legal matters.
- Provide legal assistance to active-duty military, DoW civilians, retirees, and others.
- Research, analyze, and interpret federal, state, and local laws.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Licensed attorney in active status and in good standing with the bar of a U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth
- Knowledge of applicable law and federal, state, and local law
- Ability to research, analyze, and prepare legal opinions
- Recognize and analyze key legal issues and apply analysis to conclusions

Pay
GS-13 salary with locality included (for the Las Vegas, Nevada area) $115,243 - $149,816
Schedule
Mobility is a condition of employment. The employee must sign an Air Force-wide mobility agreement.
