About the role

The Attendee Support Specialist assists and executes tasks related to event registration customer service, including answering and directing calls, emails, and online chats from attendees, clients, hotels, and team members. The role requires experience in technical customer service using specific tools and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes event operations knowledge to resolve attendee issues and provide solutions.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service via phone, email, and other support channels.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of event details, registration platforms, tools, and processes.
  • Provides recommendations for improving customer service and processes.
  • Aids in organizing and communicating information effectively.
  • Participates in team meetings and takes ownership of process enhancements.
  • Handles confidential information professionally.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a relevant role, with preference for experience in technical customer service.
  • Proven experience in assisting attendees with issues and providing solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and professional presentation.
  • Professionalism through communication, responsiveness, reliability, and appearance.
  • Quick adaptation to changing priorities, short timelines, and frequent interruptions.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel.
  • Ability to interpret and apply written and verbal instructions.
  • Travel and flexible schedule required.
