About the Role
The Attendant is responsible for all sales transactions, bussing tables, cleaning, sweeping, and mopping surrounding areas, and retrieving warehouse orders as needed. This role serves as a technology ambassador, assisting guests with self-service kiosks or mobile ordering systems.
Responsibilities
- Creates a welcoming atmosphere to encourage guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Tejon for gaming entertainment; builds and retains guest relations while mentoring team members to provide superior guest service.
- Replenishes and garnishes food as necessary and serves food when required.
- Maintains a neat and sanitary appearance of assigned work areas, serving utensils, and equipment.
- Ensures all dishware, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and stored properly at the end of each shift.
- Stores all unused food items properly and ensures delivered stock is put away in the correct storage areas promptly.
- Maintains a safe work area by addressing spills and other hazards immediately.
- Keeps the Food Hall cleaned and maintained throughout the shift.
- Stays current on kiosk and mobile ordering workflows to assist guests with orders, payments, and troubleshooting.
- Processes occasional cash or non-cash transactions not optimized for self-ordering.
- Expedites complete food orders as needed.
- Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up tasks as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Typically requires two months of on-the-job training to acquire necessary knowledge and abilities.
- Ability to present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules as needed.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with employees and guests at all levels.
- Ability to restock materials and retrieve dropped items.
- Proficiency in using a cash register, distinguishing currency denominations, and making correct change.
- Ability to read ticket totals, credit vouchers, and log checks.
- Experience using machines and equipment such as cash register systems, credit card machines, and calculators.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to walk distances and lift 30 to 40 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, handling objects, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing.
- Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Works in a hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy casino environment.
- May be exposed to excessive noise and constant interaction with the general public.
