Attendant - Staff Cafeteria

About the Role

This position is responsible for all sales transactions, bussing tables, cleaning, sweeping, and mopping surrounding tables and areas, as well as retrieving warehouse orders as needed for the Employee Dining Room (EDR).

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Tejon for gaming entertainment; actively builds and retains guest relations while mentoring team members to provide superior guest service.
• Replenishes and garnishes food on the cafeteria line as necessary.
• Serves food as needed.
• Maintains a neat and sanitary appearance of assigned work area, serving utensils, and equipment.
• Ensures all dishware, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and stored properly at the end of the shift.
• Ensures all unused food items are stored properly.
• Maintains work area in a safe condition, addressing spills and other hazards promptly.
• Ensures stock delivered from the warehouse is put away in proper storage areas in a timely manner.
• Ensures the Team Dining Room is cleaned and maintained throughout the shift.
• Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up tasks as assigned.
• Performs work regularly and predictably.
• Cleans and sanitizes work and public spaces.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must obtain and maintain valid licenses/certifications per Federal and State regulations.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must successfully pass a drug screening.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through two months of on-the-job training.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality while maintaining a professional appearance.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
• Ability to restock materials and retrieve dropped items.
• Proficiency in using a cash register, including distinguishing between different denominations of currency and making correct change.
• Ability to read ticket totals, total credit vouchers, and log checks.
• Experience using machines and equipment such as cash register systems, credit card machines, and calculators.
