Attendant Care Employee-Manchester, NH

About the role

Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) has immediate per diem openings for Attendant Care Employees (ACE) in Manchester and Salem, NH. As an ACE, you will provide compassionate support to consumers, promote their independence, and work flexible schedules of 10‑20 hours per week (schedules set by the consumer). GSIL is a statewide non‑profit and New Hampshire's only Center for Independent Living, focused on education, information, advocacy, support, and transition services for people with disabilities and underserved youth, led by a board and staff over 51% of whom are people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, eating)
• Provide in‑home care
• Perform range of motion/exercises
• Handle laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, organization
• Assist with ambulation and transfers
• Use mechanical lifting devices (training provided if needed)
• Provide medication assistance (reminding consumers when to take medication)
• Support consumers in the community with running errands

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• LNA license is NOT required
• High school diploma is NOT required
• Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds or more
• Adequate car insurance (if applicable)

Pay

$18.00‑22.00 per hour

Schedule

Flexible schedules ranging from 10‑20 hours per week, set by the consumer.
