Based in Miami, our Training Center delivers tailored training programs aligned with aircraft characteristics and operator needs.
About the role
We are seeking a Quality Manager for ATR Americas, based in Miami, to join our Quality Directorate. This role involves leading compliance, operational support, and quality initiatives for our Approved Training Organization (ATO) and Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD). You will work with a team of six collaborators and report to the local leadership.
Responsibilities
- Ensure ATR Miami Training Centre (ATC) compliance with FAA and EASA regulations through the Compliance Monitoring System (CMS).
- Lead and conduct annual ATO and FSTD internal audits, and follow up on curative, corrective, and preventive actions from internal and external audits.
- Develop and report key data on ATO/FSTD approval management, ensuring business continuity with the CMS department in Toulouse, France.
- Manage Civil Aviation Authorities and customer certifications/audits, representing ATC and monitoring local regulations to support business development.
- Oversee training services approval for Entry-Into-Service customers and participate in on-site supplier monitoring (e.g., housing, simulator maintenance).
- Report on Training Centre performance data, compliance indicators, and customer satisfaction feedback.
- Ensure personnel (internal and contracted) supporting ATC operations are trained to required competency levels, including ATC Management system training via e-learning platforms (iSpring & Docebo).
- Support ATC operations by monitoring training services and FSTD activities in collaboration with the Deputy Head of Flight Training.
- Coordinate with Toulouse on local projects such as simulator relocation, supplier changes, facility work, and implementation of new activities for customers.
- Achieve AS9100 certification to strengthen quality management systems, including standardizing procedures and integrating newcomers.
- Assist the Quality Suppliers department with US MRO surveillance, including planning and scheduling repair station audits.
- Support the local team on regulatory questions related to quality spares and warehouse surveillance.
- Assist the top management team with local projects.
Requirements
- Right to live and work in the U.S. with no restrictions on travel within the United States or the Americas.
- Field of study related to aeronautics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Approved Training Organization (ATO).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for ATO, FSTD, PART147, and safety standards.
- Familiarity with AS9100 certification.
- Soft skills: rigor, strong communication, and adaptability.
- Fluent in English.
