About The Role

We're looking for atmospheric science experts to help build and train cutting-edge AI models — creating challenging problems, crafting rigorous solutions, and pushing the boundaries of what AI can understand about climate, weather, and Earth's atmosphere. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for researchers and academics who want to apply their expertise in a high-impact, forward-thinking environment. No prior AI experience needed — your scientific depth is what matters.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and critically review advanced atmospheric science problems with real-world scientific relevance
  • Apply your expertise in climate modeling, meteorology, ecology, or sustainability to design complex, nuanced problem statements
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to sharpen AI model reasoning in your field
  • Evaluate the scientific accuracy, rigor, and clarity of AI-generated content across atmospheric and environmental topics
  • Ensure all deliverables meet a high standard of scientific depth and precision
  • Work independently on task-based assignments fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Master's or PhD in Atmospheric Science, Climate Science, Meteorology, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
  • Experienced researcher with hands-on knowledge of climate modeling, atmospheric dynamics, or related specializations
  • Comfortable coding in Python or R — whether for data analysis, modeling, or research workflows
  • Naturally rigorous and detail-oriented — you hold your work to a high scientific standard
  • Clear and confident written communicator who can explain complex concepts precisely
  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience in data annotation, data quality assurance, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Familiarity with ecological modeling, sustainability research, or earth system science
  • Background in reviewing or writing scientific literature
  • Prior work with large datasets or geospatial analysis tools

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading AI research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, intellectually engaging work
  • Apply your scientific expertise to a domain that's shaping the future of AI reasoning
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
