Atlassian Platform Architect

About the role

For our client, we are seeking an Atlassian Platform Architect to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape the strategy and architecture for an enterprise collaboration and service management platform in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment. You will partner with technology and operations stakeholders to establish standards, improve platform health, and enable scalable integrations and workflows. The position also plays a key role in supporting secure cloud adoption, ITSM maturity, and migration initiatives that improve reliability and user experience. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the technical strategy and roadmap for the Atlassian platform
• Establish enterprise standards for data models and integrations
• Own platform health and lead remediation initiatives
• Design solutions using Jira Automation, REST APIs, and marketplace apps
• Define ITSM architecture for managing service requests and incidents
• Introduce architecture reviews and lifecycle-management processes
• Lead migration and integration initiatives for platform improvement

Qualifications

• 6-8 years leading Jira and the Atlassian ecosystem in large organizations
• Deep hands-on Jira Cloud and JSM expertise
• Technical experience with Forge, REST APIs, and webhooks
• Experience defining enterprise architecture and configuration standards
• Proficient in designing JSM and ITSM solutions aligned with ITIL practices
• Knowledge of Atlassian Cloud identity and security protocols
• Direct experience with HIPAA and FedRAMP requirements

Pay

Compensation: $160,000 – $180,000 annually
