About the Role
Air Transport International (ATI) is an experienced supplemental carrier specializing in freight forwarding, government, and military contracts. ATI operates a worldwide fleet of Boeing 757 and 767 cargo and combi passenger aircraft, headquartered in Wilmington, Ohio. This role is responsible for aircraft maintenance, ensuring compliance with FAA, manufacturers, and company requirements while providing leadership over A&P functions at the station.
Responsibilities
- Overhaul, maintenance, and repair of airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment, and associated components in accordance with Company manuals, manufacturer’s manuals, policies, procedures, Bulletins, and Orders.
- Monitor and provide guidance for tasks, company processes/procedures, sign for work accomplished, and Buy Back for assigned mechanics.
- Remain alert for defective, worn, or failed parts as well as safe working conditions.
- Monitor station requirements such as housekeeping duties and ensure assigned personnel maintain work areas and company property.
- Perform tasks assigned by the Supervisor or higher management.
- Exercise authority under the RII provisions of the manual, reporting directly to the Director of Quality Control when applicable.
- Attend all Company training classes as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must complete a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check.
- Experience with 757/767 aircraft.
- Airframe and Powerplant license (FAR 121.378a).
- Valid passport or the ability to obtain one.
- Parts 121, 125, 145; Heavy transport category aircraft experience preferred.
Skills
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to stand, bend, and reach; sit for extended periods of time.
- Compliance with ATI attendance requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work at heights up to 80 feet.
- Work from ladders up to 10 feet.
- Climb up to 3 flights of stairs.
