About the role
Responsible for aircraft maintenance. Ensures all aircraft maintenance is performed in compliance with FAA, manufacturers, and company requirements. Provides guidance and leadership over the A&P functions of the station, with the authority to schedule or adjust shifts of A&P Mechanics to accomplish immediate company goals.
Responsibilities
- Overhaul, maintain, and repair airframe components, powerplants, aircraft communication equipment, and associated components in accordance with Company manuals, manufacturer’s manuals, policies, procedures, Bulletins, and Orders.
- Monitor and provide guidance for tasks, company processes, and procedures; sign for work accomplished and perform Buy Back for assigned tasks.
- Identify defective, worn, or failed parts and ensure safe working conditions.
- Monitor station requirements, including housekeeping duties and maintenance of company property.
- Perform all tasks assigned by the Supervisor or higher management.
- Exercise authority under the RII provisions of the manual, reporting directly to the Director of Quality Control when applicable.
- Attend all Company training classes as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must complete a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug screen and a DOT/FAA compliant background check.
- Experience with 757/767 aircraft.
- Ability to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers; stand, bend, and reach; sit for extended periods; and comply with ATI attendance requirements.
- Parts 121, 125, 145; Heavy transport category aircraft experience preferred.
- Airframe and Powerplant license (FAR 121.378a).
- Valid passport or the ability to obtain one.
Physical Requirements
- Comply with ATI attendance requirements.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work at heights up to 80 feet.
- Work from ladders up to 10 feet.
- Climb up to 3 flights of stairs.
