About the role

The Varsity Assistant Coach supports the Head Coach in leading a competitive, Christ-centered athletic program that develops student-athletes spiritually, athletically, emotionally, and socially.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Head Coach in pursuing competitive excellence while maintaining a strong commitment to Christian character, integrity, sportsmanship, and discipleship.
• Serves as a role model for Christian values and behavior.
• Supports program culture, reinforces expectations, and represents Lighthouse Christian Academy professionally.

Requirements

• A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Prior coaching or playing experience preferred (especially with youth teams).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate, instruct, and care for students with patience and integrity.

Qualifications

• Must complete required background checks and child protection training.
