About the role
The successful candidate will be employed as a teacher and as an Athletic Coach in the Las Cruces Public Schools district.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses and provide instruction in accordance with district curriculum and state standards.
- Coach athletic teams and adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and guardians as required.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Licensed as an Athletic Coach by the New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED).
- Hold a valid teaching license from the New Mexico Public Education Department.
- Highly qualified status as specified by the New Mexico Public Education Department.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in education or related field preferred.
- Experience coaching high school sports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and community members.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and practices.
- Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes.
