Athletic Trainer, Onsite
Position Summary
Concentra is hiring an experienced and self-driven Athletic Trainer-Onsite (AT-O) for a part-time onsite position at our client's site in Tulsa, OK. The role focuses on healthcare support within an occupational medicine program, promoting health and reducing work-related injuries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide basic first aid treatment and test items like range of motion, strength, reflexes, and sensory integrity.
- Evaluate and refer injured associates to appropriate clinicians for the best care.
- Follow action plans and standing orders for medical emergencies.
- Manage Workers' Compensation cases through claim capture and follow-up.
- Collaborate with client’s HR team and management on return to work (RTW) job placement.
- Track and communicate MSD-related statistics for client stakeholders.
- Coordinate injury prevention programs and ergonomic training and evaluation.
- Create job rotation plans and monitor compliance.
- Administer drug and alcohol testing.
- Perform data analysis to measure costs of musculoskeletal disorders.
- Communicate regularly with safety personnel regarding rehab and injury prevention activities.
- Attend meetings and serve on committees as requested.
- Author articles for newsletters and the company intranet as requested.
Promote and Maintain Health and Wellbeing
The AT-O promotes and maintains health and wellbeing by providing exceptional patient care, managing Workers' Compensation cases, and coordinating injury prevention programs. They also collaborate with the client's Health and Safety Leader to create a healthier and safer workforce.
Education/Credentials
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or equivalent certifications.
Experience
- 1 year of demonstrated clinical knowledge of Athletic Trainer services consistent with an Onsite setting.
