Athletic Trainer Medical Office Parkview

About the role

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. We welcome new graduates who have a strong interest in sports medicine and orthopedic care and are eager to grow their clinical skills in a dynamic specialty environment. This role offers the opportunity to pursue Orthopedic Technician certification and, upon certification, expand responsibilities by assisting physicians in the operating room setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, implements and coordinates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities.
• Makes rounds to assess patient needs and provide necessary care.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines and serves as a liaison to coordinate patient care.
• Aids the physician and advanced practice provider in the prescribed plan of care.
• Assists with casting, splinting, bracing, and ambulatory assistive device applications.
• Provides clinical education and expert guidance to patients and families regarding procedures and plan of care.
• Works in a fast-paced environment, taking appropriate action within scope of job.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Continuing education in the field.
• Certification by National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
• Registration with the State of Colorado as an Athletic Trainer.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• One year of experience in an orthopedic setting providing direct patient care.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• One year of experience in an orthopedic setting providing direct patient care.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Pay

$24.11 - $36.17 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
