Athletic Trainer - High School (Per Diem)

About the role

We are seeking a per diem Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide services with our network’s outpatient offices, high school contracts, and community events in accordance with NATA guidelines and practices. This role is open to licensed new graduates seeking an exciting opportunity to cover sporting events, practices, and games with schools and the surrounding community. Flexibility for coverage during weekdays (Monday–Friday, starting at 2 PM) as well as weekends is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services in outpatient settings, high schools, and community events following NATA guidelines.
• Cover sporting events, practices, and games for schools and the surrounding community.
• Collaborate with physicians and allied healthcare team members in a matrix organization with multiple reporting responsibilities.
• Represent the clinic and practice positively within the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Athletic Training.
• CT licensure and current NATABOC Certification in good standing.
• Current First Aid and Professional Rescuer CPR Certification.
• Basic computer and technological skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and function effectively within a team environment.
• Comfortable working in a matrix organization with multiple reporting responsibilities.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive representation of the clinic and practice in the community.

Preferred Skills

• CSCS certification.
• CPR instructor certification.
• FMS or SFMA certification.
