About the Role
Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Licensed Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The role involves preventing, examining, and treating injuries, developing treatment plans, providing nutritional guidance, ordering necessary equipment, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles and possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data.
Responsibilities
- Prevent, examine, and treat injuries.
- Develop effective treatment plans tailored to athletes' needs.
- Provide nutritional guidance and recommendations aligned with athlete goals.
- Order necessary equipment and supplies.
- Maintain up-to-date records on all patients.
- Carry out prescribed treatments and recommendations by physicians or team programs.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field.
- Certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer.
- Licensure by the Ohio OTPTAT Board.
- Current BLS certification.
Preferred:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a certified Athletic Trainer.
