Athletic Trainer
About the role
Utah State University Athletics is seeking a passionate and skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team and work directly with our Men’s and Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country programs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the health and well-being of our student athletes.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview and select graduate student athletic trainers.
- Maintain professional competency by successfully completing Continuing Education Units to retain Athletic Trainer Certification by the NATA Board of Certification and athletic training licensing requirements for the state of Utah.
- Organize and manage athletic training program, including physician consultation, medical record keeping, public relations, inventory reports, and maintain upkeep of training room and equipment.
- Evaluate injuries and plan treatment programs for male and female student athletes, perform taping and other injury prevention activities, provide rehabilitation of injuries, respond to emergency situations, analyze conditions and make appropriate responses.
- Cook up and manage interactions and activities between the athletic department and various entities on and off campus.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in athletic training or related healthcare field, NATA Certification, Utah State Licensure eligible, CPR/AED/First Aid certified.
- PREFERRED Qualifications: DI experience.
