About the role
Granite State Physical Therapy is a provider of high-quality and innovative outpatient physical therapy and sports medicine services and treatment. The Athletic Trainers at Granite State Physical Therapy typically work August through the second week of June, mirroring the high school athletic schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical coverage for varsity and sub-varsity high school athletic events, as discussed with athletic director;
- Maintain high-quality health records on all injuries, relevant illnesses, prevention, rehabilitation procedures, and communications;
- Comply with standing orders as set forth by the supervising physician;
- Collaborate with Director of Athletic Training and physical therapists for treatment plans as necessary;
- Advocate for your own work/life balance, collaborating with the athletic director to determine coverage best suited for school and person.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or professional degree in athletic training;
- Licensed as an Athletic Trainer or eligible for licensure by the state of NH;
- Board of Certification (BOC) certified;
- Maintenance of current health care provider/professional rescuer CPR and AED certification;
- High energy, maturity, enthusiasm, leadership qualities, ability to advocate for self and patients;
- Self-starter, able to work independently with strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail;
- Team player mentality;
- Ability to communicate with athletic directors, supervisor, and other members of the healthcare team including physical therapists and doctors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or professional degree in athletic training;
- Licensed as an Athletic Trainer or eligible for licensure by the state of NH;
- Board of Certification (BOC) certified;
- Maintenance of current health care provider/professional rescuer CPR and AED certification.

- Manual dexterity;
- General strength and endurance;
- Lifting routinely loads of 5-35 pounds from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, and shoulder to overhead;
- Carrying routinely loads of 5-10# for 40-50';
- Pushing routinely loads of 5-150# on casters, runners, or pulleys;
- Sustaining a grip routinely for 1-2 minutes of 40-50%;
- Guarding a lift load routinely of 120-140%.
