Athletic Trainer

About the role

Access Your Career Access Rehab Centers is a leading outpatient rehabilitation provider with 12 locations in the Greater Waterbury area. We are currently seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services to athletes and other individuals as needed
• Assess and evaluate injuries and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Document patient progress and communicate with referring physicians
• Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure safe and effective treatment

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited four-year athletic trainer curriculum with a bachelor’s degree
• NATA (National Athletic Trainers Association) certification
• CPR certification
• State of Connecticut license
• Maintain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as established by NATA

Qualifications

• Strong time-management, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required
• Patient confidentiality is a must

• Knowledge of athletic training principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
