Under immediate supervision, responsible for maintaining and preparing soccer fields and baseball/softball diamonds for practices and league play, including field dressing, lining and general grooming. May assist with raking and operation of leaf vacuum equipment for removal of leaves for curbside pickup. May assist with winter snow removal operations. Performs other duties and operates other equipment as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive work under all weather conditions
• Some maintenance experience desired
• Familiarity with soccer and baseball/softball desired
• Ability to maintain an assigned schedule
• Ability to operate trucks and equipment essential for daily assignments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to positively interact with the public, coworkers and staff
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required (with the exception of candidates under 18 years of age)
• Must be 18 years of age if required to drive City vehicles
• Must pass criminal background check

Pay

$15.00 per hour

Schedule

Variable hours up to 25 hours per week. Start and end dates are negotiable. Positions anticipated to be filled approximately mid-August - December.
