About the role

The Athletic Event Support Assignment serves the district's athletic program by assisting with the operation of middle school and high school athletic events held at district facilities. Individuals selected for this assignment perform assigned duties that contribute to the successful execution of athletic competitions and activities while helping ensure events are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with district and UIL expectations.

Responsibilities

Duties will vary depending on assignment. Report to assigned events and fulfill assigned responsibilities in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment for students, staff, and spectators. Follow directions from designated supervisors and comply with district safety procedures.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Work is performed in classrooms, offices, work stations and meeting rooms. The position requires occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/carrying work related items weighing less than 40 pounds, such as books, papers and presentation materials.

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay

Schedule

Work performed during evenings, weekends, holidays, and other non-duty hours as assigned. Work conducted in various athletic venues, including gymnasiums, stadiums, athletic fields, natatoriums, field houses, and other district facilities.
