Athletic Equipment Attendant - Male
This recruitment is open and promotional, meaning all are welcome to apply and current employees in permanent positions are eligible to receive seniority credit and promotional placement once passing all exams. There is currently one vacancy located at Costa Mesa High School. A male is required for this assignment due to bona fide occupational qualifications related to working in and around the boys' locker room facilities; however, females are encouraged to submit an interest card for future open positions.
About the role
Under the direction of the Supervisor High School Plant, receive, inventory, store, maintain, and issue athletic uniforms and equipment for use in Physical Education classes and competitive sports. Maintain assigned Physical Education areas in a safe, clean, and sanitary condition.
Schedule
8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 12 months per year.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school.
- Two years of experience performing athletic equipment repair or general custodial duties.
- Valid California Class C driver's license.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification issued by an authorized agency (must be obtained within six months of employment).
