ATHLETIC COACH - CROSS COUNTRY - ASSISTANT COACH

POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for leading and managing athletic teams, providing instruction, and ensuring the safety and welfare of participants.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Provide daily supervision and coaching during practices and games.
• Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of the sport and governing bodies.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, and other staff members.
• Assist in the organization and execution of team events and competitions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to impart this knowledge.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Previous administrative experience in athletics.
• Leadership and motivational skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies as needed.
• Standing, walking, and bending throughout the day.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
