Responsibilities

• Complete athletic training responsibilities for assigned school under the operational direction of the Coordinator of Sports Medicine Staffing, Coordinator of Sports Medicine Programming or his/her designee.
• Prevent athletic injuries, recognize, evaluate, and provide immediate care for athletic injuries.
• Rehabilitate and recondition athletes recovering from athletic injuries.
• Ensure players participate only when physically able and that physician instructions are understood and followed.
• Coordinate with the Athletic Director to cover the athletic training room and all required events.

Requirements

• Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) athletic trainer with a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• NH & MA State licensed or license eligible athletic trainer.
• CPR/AED certified.
• Effective interpersonal skills to communicate in person and in writing.
• Decision-making skills.
• Good general health and emotional stability.
• Adequate physical strength to assist with resistive activities.
