At-Risk Success Coach, Virtual Landmark Academy

Landmark Academy is seeking a Success Coach to engage students in our virtual learning program, providing individualized academic and behavioral support across all content areas.

About the role

The Success Coach develops meaningful relationships with students and their families, motivating all students to succeed in their coursework. This role serves as a liaison between students, families, and school staff, supporting disenfranchised students to remove barriers and create pathways for success.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic and behavioral support to students in the virtual learning program
• Offer tutoring support across all content areas
• Monitor student progress and develop success plans
• Create individualized student success plans emphasizing goal setting, targeted interventions, and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to address student needs
• Support attendance, engagement, and goal-setting initiatives
• Serve as a liaison between students, families, and school staff
• Remove barriers and provide pathways for disenfranchised students
• Foster a welcoming and supportive school environment
• Lead information and enrollment sessions to support the enrollment process
• Facilitate new student orientation sessions
• Coordinate and assist with state testing
• Recognize and celebrate staff, student, and program successes
• Perform other duties as directed by School Administration

Requirements

• Proficiency in Google applications and tools
• Experience working with students in academic or behavioral support roles
• Strong mentoring, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of intervention strategies and student success planning
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
• Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Experience working in a virtual learning school and/or program strongly preferred

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This position operates in a school setting using standard office equipment. The role involves walking, sitting, standing, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds.
