ゴーストマスター アポカリプス（イエロー）

About the Artist

Backside works. is a contemporary artist based in Fukuoka, Japan, whose work revolves around the concept of "heroines" and mixed subculture art. Inspired by 1980s and 1990s anime, manga, and other subcultures, the artist remains anonymous—no real name, age, gender, or facial exposure is disclosed.

Using a diverse range of media, including canvas painting, silkscreen, giclée, and stickers, Backside works. creates contemporary mixed-media art centered on imagined heroines. The artist’s signature style evokes manga and anime production techniques, often capturing fleeting expressions of female characters as if frozen from a sequence of cel drawings. Works frequently feature girls as motifs, blending Japanese otaku culture, street culture, and influences from animation, manga, and graffiti art.

Backside works. is known for guerrilla-style art releases and collaborations with brands and shops. The artist favors pen drawings and spray paint, producing pieces with strong ties to Japanese subculture aesthetics.
