The Opportunity

MGO is expanding and seeks an experienced Assurance Senior Associate focused on State and Local Government (SLG) engagements. This role offers exposure to large and complex government entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engagement planning, budgeting, execution, and client communications
• Manage engagement economics, billing, and quality control
• Supervise, mentor, and develop associates and senior staff
• Resolve technical and client service matters independently
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for expanded services
• Support firm initiatives, growth strategies, and professional organizations

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public or corporate accounting experience (SLG preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent CPA license preferred or CPA-eligible
• Strong communication, project management, and client service skills
