About the role

Balfour Beatty US is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its Orange County office. This role supports the Project Manager in managing administrative and technical requirements for construction special projects.

Responsibilities

• Pre-construction Coordination
• Project Scheduling
• Project Administration, Operations, and Close-out
• Maintain constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer needs and expectations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required
• At least 5 years of previous construction office or field commercial experience in a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager role
• 1-year or more of direct supervisory experience
• Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.)
• Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s)

Qualifications

• Local candidates preferred but not required
• DSD/ Public works experience is a plus
• Commissioning Coordinator experience
• Experience in Change Orders Drafting/Negotiating
• Knows how to drive material procurement as it relates to schedule
• Can read a look ahead and CPM schedule
• Capable of facilitating meetings
• Experience in reviewing sub-billings

Skills

• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations

Pay

The base compensation range for the role of Assistant Project Manager in Southern CA is $105,000 to $125,000 annually.
