Asst Professor (on-ground/online), DeVos Grad School, Multiple Disciplines in Business - Finance/AI
Northwood University’s DeVos Graduate School of Management seeks qualified faculty to teach in our DBA, MBA, and MS programs. Classes are held on the Midland, MI campus and online. The candidate must hold a terminal degree in Finance and have experience integrating AI into the classroom.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach in both on-ground and online modalities, including discussion-based classroom meetings during the day and evening. A willingness to embrace our unique problem-based pedagogy is essential to achieve the transformational competencies that DeVos Graduate School students accomplish. Faculty members also serve as Dissertation Committee Members and Chairs, requiring a commitment to the long-term success of our students.
The candidate will represent the graduate school and its programming to internal and external constituents. Full-time faculty members contribute to advising, admissions, assessment, and mentoring adjunct faculty.
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate-level courses in Finance, AI, and Analytics in both on-ground and online modalities.
- Serve as a Dissertation Committee Member or Chair for DBA/PhD candidates.
- Design, develop, and implement graduate-level courses.
- Advise students and participate in admissions and assessment processes.
- Mentor adjunct faculty and represent the graduate school to internal and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate problem-based learning and learner-centered classrooms.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. or DBA in a business-related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
- Substantive academic or professional experience in Finance, Artificial Intelligence, and Analytics.
- Experience serving as a DBA/PhD Dissertation Committee Chair and/or member.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems, particularly Blackboard Ultra.
- Comfort with facilitating problem-based and learner-centered classrooms.
Qualifications
Preference is given to candidates with extensive real-world business experience in addition to the required academic credentials.
