Adjunct Faculty/Developer- Artificial Intelligence for Business Solutions
About the role
The University of San Diego, Professional and Continuing Education is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach and/or develop online classes in their Artificial Intelligence for Business Solutions program. The program consists of eight 1-unit courses offered in an online self-paced format with a 6-month completion period. Each course is four weeks long.
Responsibilities
- Teach and assess student progress in meeting the learning objectives through formal and informal assessment.
- Hold office hours and meet required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other information, as requested.
- Adhere to safety procedures and departmental standards.
- Work with the Learning Design Team to create and develop the course in the Canvas learning management system while meeting agreed upon deliverable dates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of generative AI techniques, such as GANs and VAEs is a plus.
- A minimum of two (2) years of full-time professional experience in these areas is required.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Research Science, Big Data, Software Engineer, Data Analysis preferred.
- Experience with the Canvas learning management system is a plus.
Skills
- Strong teaching and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of generative AI techniques and experience in developing online courses.

Pay
$40-44/hour
