Key Responsibilities
- Maintain centralized monitoring and perform detailed performance evaluations of wind power plants.
- Analyze generation loss factors such as grid outages, turbine downtime, yaw misalignment, pitch system issues, curtailment, high wind cut-out, low wind conditions, and OEM-related losses.
- Evaluate turbine performance using wind speed, wind direction, air density, turbulence intensity, and meteorological mast/LiDAR data against power curves.
- Monitor health indicators for gearbox, generator, converter, hydraulic, pitch, yaw, transformer, and blade degradation.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including Availability, Technical Availability, PLF, Capacity Factor, Energy Yield, Specific Generation, and MTBF/MTTR.
- Validate SCADA, turbine controller, and meter data; identify communication failures and data gaps.
- Support performance improvement initiatives through optimization of turbine settings and operational strategies.
- Prepare performance deviation reports with root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
- Conduct predictive performance analysis using historical trends, alarms, vibration, temperature, and condition monitoring data.
- Collaborate with O&M, Asset Management, and OEM teams for timely resolution of performance issues.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive and corrective maintenance through post-maintenance performance analysis.
Troubleshooting & Incident Management
- Provide first-level technical support for wind turbine operational issues.
- Coordinate with site O&M teams and OEMs for fault diagnosis and resolution.
- Monitor turbine alarms, breakdowns, grid disturbances, and critical operational events.
- Track incident closure, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementation of corrective actions.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare Daily Generation Reports (DGR), Monthly Performance Reports, MIS dashboards, and fleet performance summaries.
- Coordinate with O&M, Asset Management, OEMs, Grid Operations, and Engineering teams.
- Present fleet performance trends, reliability analysis, and operational insights to management.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly performance review meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
